Dear Rotaract Tophane Team,
Warm greetings from the Rotaract Club of Thika Technical Training Institute (RAC Thika TTI) in Thika, Kenya.
Thank you for reaching out to us and for inviting us to take part in the Letters Across Borders project. We are happy to connect with you and learn more about your club and your community in Bursa, Türkiye.
RAC Thika TTI was chartered in 2011 and is an institution-based Rotaract club. We are located in Thika, Kenya, and have approximately 40 members who are actively involved in our activities.
Our club believes in the Rotaract spirit of Service Above Self. Through our activities and projects, we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of people in our community.
Our physical meetings are held every Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM during school sessions. When the school is closed, we continue with virtual meetings and activities so that our club remains active.
Our most recent signature project was the donation of 15 metallic beds to Aga Pay Mercy Children’s Home in Murang’a County, Kenya. It was a meaningful project for our club, and we were happy to support the children and the home.
For our next signature project, we are planning to build bookshelves for Aga Pay Mercy Children’s Home and donate learning materials to support the children’s education. We would be very happy to collaborate with Rotaract Tophane on this project. You are most welcome to join us, and we can explore simple ways of working together even if we are in different countries.
We believe that working together across borders can help us create a bigger impact and strengthen the Rotaract family. We look forward to creating a strong friendship and partnership between our two clubs.
